Oval brooch with a richly chased and beaded gilt frame surrounding a lover's-knot of plaited hair under glass. Elaborate repoussé frames were fashionable in early Victorian mourning jewelry, when the young queen's own mourning set the tone for the age. Shows wear consistent with age.
