Early American medicinal salve tin from the Baldauf Drug Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a turn-of-the-century patent-medicine maker; salve tins of this type held topical ointments marketed for burns, cuts, and general skin ailments before FDA-regulated labeling standardized the category. Dates to approximately 1900s-1910s. Good surviving graphics for its age, with expected surface wear. Non-tobacco, so grouped with general antiques.
