Clean, well-preserved vintage tobacco tin for “Sensible” Sliced Plug — a smoke-and-chew tobacco made by Larus & Bro. Co., Inc. of Richmond, Virginia, the historic maker best known for their flagship Edgeworth pipe tobacco brand. Crisp cream and gold Art Deco-style diagonal banner design with the company’s rose trademark, plus original U.S. Internal Revenue tax stamp remnant on the side panel.

A great display piece for American tobacciana collectors, with strong original color and only light general wear. Larus & Brother operated in Richmond from 1877 to 1968, making this an authentic piece of early-to-mid 20th century American tobacco advertising history.
