Victorian Dark Brown Woven Hairwork Watch Chain with T-Bar, Circa 1860s-1880s

Thick watch chain of dark brown hair tightly woven into a round tube, finished with gilt end caps, a hook and a T-bar. Tube-woven chains were made on a hairwork table using weighted bobbins, a craft practiced by both professionals and women at home. Shows wear consistent with age.
