Angled, molded veneer splint with its original orange paper label from Stoddart Bros. of Buffalo, New York. Stoddart's patented veneered splints were thin laminated wood, lighter than plaster and softened with heat so a doctor could bend them to fit the limb. Shows wear, edge lifting and label loss.
