Antique Wall-Mounted Sick Call Shrine Cabinet with Pietà and Candle Sconces, Circa 1920s-1940s

Oak wall shrine with a painted Pietà scene of the Virgin holding Christ, "Blessed Be Thy Holy Name," flanked by brass candle sconces, with a drop-front compartment holding a crucifix, holy water bottle and plate. Catholic households kept sick call sets like this ready for a priest administering last rites at home. Shows wear consistent with age.
