Antique Gebauer’s Ethyl Chloride Spray Canister – Nickel-Plated Medical Anesthetic (1920–1940)

This nickel-plated canister by Gebauer Chemical Co. of Cleveland was used to dispense Ethyl Chloride for instant skin anesthesia in minor surgeries and dental work. Introduced in the early 1900s, it was among the first refillable precision anesthetic devices recognized in the U.S. National Formulary.
