Antique Clear Glass Cupping Cup, Circa Late 1800s-Early 1900s

Hand-blown clear glass cupping cup with a thick rolled rim. In cupping, the air inside the glass was heated so that it formed a vacuum against the skin, drawing blood to the surface; it was a household and medical remedy for congestion and pain for centuries. Light wear.
